Do I need to sit an English test?
People from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and the USA only need to sit an English test (IELTS) if they need extra points for their Points Test. Citizens of other countries must sit the test and secure a minimum score. The threshold for most visas is a 5.0. Some visas require a higher score (for example 6.0 for General Skilled Visas). We will inform you on the exact requirements in our initial advice.
