Improvement of DIBP Service Standards for 2014 - Migration Place

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has released its 2014 service standards, with significant reductions in processing times for many visa categories. The Department requires 75 percent of applications to be finalised within the specified timeframes.

Highlights include a reduction from 6 months to 3 months for State Migration Program visas, a reduction from 12 months to 3 months for SkillSelect Independent and Family Sponsored visas, and a massive reduction from 28 months to 9 months for certain Business Innovation and Investment visas.

The improvement in service standards for 2014 is good news for prospective migrants to Australia, who will now have months shaved off the application process.

We note that the migration rules change constantly, and the process is getting harder each year so we highlight the need to act quickly, and with assistance of a registered and experienced migration lawyer.

By engaging The Migration Place for your visa application, you can take comfort that your application is being handled professionally and will therefore be processed as quickly as possible with maximum prospects of success.
