DIBP has backtracked on Form 80 - Migration Place

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has issued the new Form 80 in April 2014.

The new Form 80 has reduced the period of which the applicant has to explain their travel and address history.

The new Form 80 has backtracked to the previous requirement which is that the applicant list their travel and address history for the past 10 years except if the applicant is applying for a refugee or humanitarian visa. This is a significant reduction form the required 30 years of travel and address history which was required on the Form 80 before the most recent changes.

This news has been received positively by visa applicants, migration agents and many other stakeholders in the immigration industry.
