The price of love set to rise

On 1 January 2015, the Department of Immigration’s partner visa fees will increase by 50%.

The Prospective Marriage (Subclass 300) Visa and the Offshore Partner (Subclass 309/100) Visa will be increasing to $4627.50, and the Onshore Partner (Subclass 820/801) Visa will be increasing to $6865.50.

If you wish to avoid this increase to the price of love, then please contact our experience team of lawyers on (07) 3229 4025 or send an email to mail@themigrationplace.com

If you want to know more about this visa, please visit our website: http://www.themigrationplace.com/types-of-visas/visas-for-couples/

Ask us how to apply even if your relationship is less than 12 months old. We are also experienced in finalising your divorce with your previous partner so you can sponsor your new partner.

Your partner can be either your fiancé(e), spouse or de-facto partner, and can be of the same sex. It is important to get advice about timing issues and bridging visas so that you do not need to be separated from your partner.

The DIBP carefully scrutinise all material lodged. This is why:

  • We are extremely careful in drafting all supporting documents from your family and friends.
  • We take extra time to ensure that the application is prepared professionally and completely.
  • We run through all the different types of evidence that you can use to support your application to ensure it is processed quickly and with minimal fuss.

Please also note that DIBP fees have increasing at a huge rate – for example, the partner DIBP fee was approximately $2100 when The Migration Place started helping clients migrate here in 2002!

There are many reasons why anyone who is serious about migrating, should apply once eligibility is confirmed:

  1. the process gets harder every year;
  2. visa subclasses are frequently overhauled which can change eligibility;
  3. age is an issue once you hit 45;
  4. love is a fickle thing – one moment your partner wants you forever, the next day….
  5. the skills list is constantly changing and whilst your skill is currently on the list, that does not mean it will stay on the list.

At The Migration Place, your application is handled by an experienced migration lawyer, and all applications are prepared to a level expected by the Courts.

We pride ourselves on our work and enjoy seeing our clients receiving their partner visas quickly ann with minimal fuss from the DIBP.
