australian working holiday visas

New postcodes have been added to the Working Holiday visa postcodes.

A working holiday visa (subclass 417) allows young people to have an extended holiday and work in Australia. You are allowed a maximum of two Working Holiday visas. The first visa lasts for a year and if you do three months of regional work during the period of the first visa, you will be eligible for a second working holiday visa, provided you meet the other requirements and remain under 31 years of age.

Regional (specified) work includes:

  • Plant and animal cultivation
  • Fishing and pearling
  • Tree farming and felling
  • Mining
  • Construction

Commencing on the 16 September 2016, two postcodes have been added to the locations: 6076 and 6111 in Perth Hills, Western Australia.
