Evidence of Pay Needed for Second Year Working Holiday Visas - Migration Place

Changes as of 31 August 2015 mean that those applying for a second Working Holiday Visa must provide payslip evidence with their application. This requirement applies to everyone including those who have worked on farms as part of the WWOOF program.

Don’t worry if you have already completed work prior to 31 August 2015 and have not received payslips, as payslip evidence is not required for work completed before that date. Additionally, if you were halfway through your work experience on 31 August 2015 and can’t provide payslips for work completed on or around that date, you do not have to provide payslips. However, in that situation it must be clear from your supporting documents that you had already commenced your placement before 31 August 2015.

Under the Fair Work Act 2009 and state legislation, Australian employers have to provide their employees with certain conditions, pay and entitlements. Australian employers must also provide payslips to their employees.

Where payslip evidence is required, the payslips must show that you undertook paid work and that it was in accordance with the minimum pay entitlements for employees working in Australia. You can check Australian rates of pay on the Fair Work Ombudsman website.
