Australia has recently introduced a change in the points test for the Skilled Migration Program. Australia will now give five extra points to students attending Australian institutions. This has been introduced under the National Innovation and Science Agenda, and serves to attract highly skilled people to come to Australia.
The extra five points will be available for students with doctorate-level and masters by research qualifications in any of the following fields; engineering, mathematics, information and communication technology.
