Australia reports an 8.7% increase in working holiday visas, and an 87% increase in visas granted to Irish citizens. - Migration Place

A DIAC report confirms that working holiday visas are on the rise, with an 8.3 per cent growth rate recorded over the year.
Irish citizens recorded an 87.4 per cent increase in migration visas supplied, followed by Taiwan at 41 per cent, Italy at 14.9 per cent and Hong Kong with 14.5 per cent.

The report also shows that the number of international citizens staying in Australia has grown over time.
Working holiday visas are available to people:

  1. between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age.
  2. with no dependents.
  3. provided they are from eligible countries.
  4. with “functional” English skills.
