English requirements scaring off skilled applicants - Migration Place

Reports have come out that only 19,402 skilled visa invitations have been sent out of 160,000 possible this year so far.

It may be that the high English requirements have scared off some applicants from applying.

What many people do not realise is that the IELTS English test is not the only way applicants can meet the English requirement.

The department will now accept English language test scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) and the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic). Scores from the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test will also be accepted from early 2015.

Don’t let a poor English score let you down! Speak to one of our migration lawyers today about the other options to meet the Skilled Visa requirements by calling (07) 3229 4025.
