New skills lists were released last week setting out which skilled workers the States will sponsor.

The State Sponsored skilled visa is a permanent residency visa, which receives priority processing.
Applications are processed in 2 to 6 months whereas the general skilled visas are taking 18-24 months.
New lists were released by Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia on 25 January 2012.
